Tea Party Worldwide- Canada

Pastor Derin Fatola

Founder and Coordinator

It was in 2014, while on our annual vacation with my family in Los Angeles, California. I was enjoying a great time of fellowship in the presence of the Lord when the Word of the Lord came to me:
“Go tell every woman (called of Me) that I the Lord have a place for them in this last dispensation and many women are not stepping into what I have prepared for them.”
The Lord further explained to me, “Many women have not been able to step into their colorful destiny because of what they are going through, failure to recognize what I have given to them and the label that they have allowed both the church and the world to place on them.”
He instructed me: “Go tell every woman ‘I have got their backs, and no woman will be left behind."
Armed with this Word from the Lord and prayer, and with the help of my Mentor and chearleader - my husband, I did not see any reason to delay this assignment. Hence, in December of that very year, the Tea Party Canada chapter was inaugurated.

Here we are today, growing and touching lives, One Lady Pastor, Pastor's wife and leaders at a time.

Tea Party Worldwide- Belize

Pst. Shakera Young-Forester

Coordinator

When you and Papa came to Belize five years ago to share the Gospel, I don't think any of us fully understood the seeds that were being planted. Tea Party Worldwide, and the branch you birthed here in Belize, has become something I treasure deeply. As a woman in ministry and church leadership, there are so many things that people on the outside simply do not see. The weight of it. The complexity of navigating people, personalities, and situations, all while being expected to always be strong, always have the answer, always press forward with a smile. The human side of me is, at times, genuinely tired and weary. For a long time, I carried that quietly, because there are very few places where a woman in leadership can lay it down without fear of judgment or consequence. Galatians 6:9 reminds me "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up," but sometimes you need a room full of sisters to help you believe that again.

Tea Party Belize gave me that place. It is a safe space, truly safe, where women who lead can come together and speak freely. We talk about our victories and our worries, our highs and our lows. The things we celebrate and the things that quietly wear us down, and we do it dressed up, pampered, sitting pretty over tea,  which I love because it says, I deserve to be cared for in that moment. What blesses me most also is hearing that I am not alone. When another woman in the room names something I have felt but never spoken aloud, that is healing. God using my community to carry me, just as Galatians 6:2 instructs us to "bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." I leave Tea Party reminded, renewed, and encouraged to keep going. I will say this with full sincerity, Tea Party Belize is one of the very few spaces where I can let it all out and know, absolutely know, that what I share stays there. That kind of trust is rare, and it is priceless to me.

Thank you, Mama D, for your obedience in coming. Thank you for seeing the need and creating something this intentional, this tender, and this powerful for women like me. Tea Party Belize is a blessing. You are a blessing. With gratitude and love, one of your many Belizean daughters, Marsha
